    UTAH
    PERMIT PLATE
    “½ TON”
    1931 TRUCK PLATE
This 3” x 7” 1931 Permit Plate is barn fresh from Grandfather Robert Clegg’s farm in Heber, Utah. Utah first required residents to register their motor vehicles in 1909. Registrants provided their own license plates for display until 1915, when the state began to issue plates. Starting in 1921 the State of Utah in addition issued load permits, this plate is from 1931 one of the worst years
of the Great Depression. Originally made with a silver background and black letters. Though rusty quite a bit of the silver and black remain if you take a close look. The plate is rusted front and back though intact, there are 5 areas where small pin holes have pierced the plate (see pics). 0.00 plus .30 priority mail flat rate padded bag.
